Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
and completed residency at the Yale University Primary Care Internal Medicine Program.
Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and received his coaching certification from Wellcoaches
School of Coaching. He completed additional mindfulness training with Journey Meditation.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Smith worked in corporate America developing brand management
programs for clients such as Herman Miller and Harley-Davidson.
Following residency, Dr. Smith worked for Yale Health. His work there involved a number of clinical
and administrative positions including Medical Director of Inpatient and Transitional Care, Assistant Chief
of Acute Care Services, as well as roles in Care Coordination and Wellness Programming.
He currently serves as Medical Director for Apple Wellness Centers in Austin and Sacramento.
