IMPROVING the HEALTH of HEALTHCARE through
EVIDENCE-BASED MANAGEMENT

•••

Leadership is informed by evidence, connection, and sustainable practice. Healthcare organizations function best when the
people delivering care are supported by systems that promote clarity, autonomy, meaning, and psychological safety.
My approach to evidence-based management draws from organizational psychology, physician wellness research, coaching psychology, and healthcare leadership literature — applying practical, research-informed strategies that strengthen both
clinician wellbeing and patient care.

Research from organizations including the Mayo Clinic has demonstrated that leadership quality and workplace culture
are directly associated with physician engagement, burnout, retention, patient experience, and safety outcomes.

Clinician wellbeing is not separate from quality care — it is foundational to it

Strategies to Promote Engagement and Reduce Burnout.

This landmark paper helped establish physician wellbeing and organizational culture as measurable leadership
responsibilities rather than solely individual concerns. Link here.

Without self-care, there is no healthcare.

The goal of evidence-based management is the creation of healthcare environments where clinicians
can remain effective, connected, and fully human over the course of a career.
